Potomac Pediatrics

After 10 years and four children at this practice, I am extremely disappointed with how we were treated this morning. I called ahead to let the office know I would be slightly late due to an unexpected flat tire and was told to come in. Despite explaining the emergency upon arrival, we were refused and offered a much later time that was not feasible due to my work meetings. I understand late policies exist. However, after a decade of punctuality and loyalty, I expected some discretion and empathy — especially for a single-parent household facing an unavoidable roadside emergency. My daughter was visibly upset.

My son has been a patient with Dr. Fishelberg since his days working in Virginia and we followed him to Maryland when he switched practices. I've always had a great experience with this practice and so appreciate how they continue to evolve and make things more convenient and accessible to patients and caregivers. Over two weeks ago I had requested documentation from our VA-based Endocrinologist for my son. Having received no response from them after multiple follow-up calls, I emailed Potomac Pediatrics on a Friday afternoon and by Saturday morning I had a reply with the requested documentation. I'm so grateful to Potomac's staff for how quickly they handle documentation and forms!

My son goes there since he was born. All doctors and staff are very nice and professional. Doctors always listening to my concerns. They are all amazing but the two doctors that I see more is Dr Scheibel and Dr Fishelberg ( he was the first doctor to check my son at the hospital). I live in VA today but I still bring my son there because I trust them

We have been so happy with our switch to Potomac Pediatrics. Our pediatrician is Dr. Atwood and she is truly magical in her approach to connecting and helping kids heal. While she is our doctor, we have accessed PP providers for after-hour calls, vaccine appointments, sick visits etc, and have met with many of the other providers. Every time we have received timely excellent care/consultation. I highly recommend this practice to parents in the area, it has made a world of difference for our family!

I just received some MUCH needed assistance from Allison Kunk!! Allison Kunk is the wonderful office manager at Potomac Pediatrics. She has gone above and beyond her regular duties to help my Downs son when I've needed extra administrative support and also personal support !! We don't see her every visit, but let me tell you !!! I never miss the manifestation of her work. While much of it is behind the scenes, it is apparent to anyone who cares to observe and think about it, that things happen because someone is making it happen through hard work and endurance, even if behind the scenes. In your practice (among the other great doctors and people) Allison is responsible for much of what patients experience even though her work is behind the scenes. She seriously stands out !
