As a local, this place has really turned since the last time my dad stayed here 5 years ago. He had to be admitted recently again for a short-term stay. Karen helped make his transition into the facility very easy, even when we had a few issues due to insurance. The nursing staff for the most part were very friendly and dedicated. My dad even said the food tasted a million times better. It seems that new management have really put a lot of work into making improvements. Would gladly place my dad here again if needed.

My aunt recently stayed at Port Washington Post Acute and her stay was mostly enjoyable. The facility is a bit understaffed however, the staff they have is unbelievably caring and kind. Shepard was one employee who went above and beyond to help her feel comfortable and to make her stay more enjoyable. He had outstanding service and we were so grateful someone there really cared.

To be honest, I can’t recommend this place, it has far more negatives than positives. I strongly recommend doing a tour before sending anyone to this facility. We struggled significantly with communication. After multiple calls and voicemails, the only way I was able to get in contact with Carol, their social worker, was to show up in person and go to her office. I did receive one call from Karen, who introduced herself as a "liaison" for me and social services, she is actually Marketing Director. They ignored our repeated requests to fax a transfer referral to another facility. We chose to discharge him out of the facility after 2 nights. The only reason they are receiving two stars is because of the team in scrubs, specifically Shepard. He has genuine kindness in his eyes and consisten

My mother recently spent time in Port Washington Post Acute. We were impressed with the communication right from the start. The nursing director and administrator made her feel seen and stopped in occasionally while we were there. The team reached out weekly to check in with us so that we were always involved in her care. You can really tell that they care about the residents. My mother enjoyed the activities put on by the staff as well. I would recommend sending your loved ones here for recovery.

Management was questionable, not a lot of communication from them, and you can tell the staff doesn’t get much support, but my dad’s nurses have been AMAZING!! He’s on what’s considered the “skilled” hallway or short term? He’s just there for rehab and will be coming home (hopefully) in a few months. His nurses and CNA’s have absolutely gone out of their way to take good care of him. He will call me every morning to let me know who his nurse is for the day, and if it’s one of his favorites, we know it’ll be a good day. SHOUT OUT to Dana, Jasmine and Aishia (not sure if I spelled that right?) you girls are incredible and I appreciate you so much ❤️ I didn’t hear great things about this place in the past, but it seems like they’ve really turned it around. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend thi
