Port Washington Family Dentistry

The whole team is incredibly friendly and makes you feel very comfortable right off the bat. We have always had nothing but great experiences at Port Washington Family Dental. Leah is wonderful with our young son and makes his cleaning fun for him. We recommend them to everyone!

My dentist retired , searched for new close to home. As luck would have it cracked a tooth and new dental insurance doesn't kick in till new year. Spoke to staff at Port Family, they were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, helped set me up for the new year. the Dentist was able to help with my immediate problem and this old Marine felt pretty comfortable at the hands of a former Navy Dentist who really knows his stuff. Happy to have found a home.

The dental prophylaxis was enjoyable. I regret not recalling the hygienist's however, she was lovely and had a comforting presence. My only concerning aspect was the quantity of radiographs. Are the anterior radiographs necessary? One can illuminate via light to identify decay. I believe I was not a candidate for those particular radiographs. Hence, all patients have unique oral cavities. Consider giving patients choices. .

I went in with some BIG dental problems. They very professionally worked with me to start on a well-thought plan to address each issue and get me back on the right track. They were very upfront and helpful about everything from practical treatments to costs. The staff is extremely kind and patient; they even helped me work past my sensitive gag reflex to get the full xray scans done. If you have been avoiding the dentist due to bad past experiences, please try Dr. Mitchell Paynter! It's never too late.

Due to a recent move, it was my first visit to Port Washington Family Dentistry. I am extremely happy my daughter recommended them. I felt welcomed and completely comfortable with all staff I interacted with from Emily at reception, then Ingrid as my dental hygienist (She rocked!), and finally, Dr. Mitch was very engaging and very knowledgeable all while giving me the time needed to address my checkup and answer my questions never giving me the slightest indication he was in a rush to move on to the next patient. Wonderful experience and I am very happy to have found this dental office!! Thanks again!
