If your family member cannot do basic care for themselves, such as eating, using the bathroom, etc. DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. The Pines can’t even give basic human care. They really should be shut down by the state. Your loved one will die a horrible death, because no one there cares, at all. Not in the least bit. It’s extremely dirty. My father ended up back in the hospital MULTIPLE times because they couldn’t keep him clean and he just continued to get reoccurring infections. He spent almost 10 days not eating/drinking there. Most of the time we would come, he would be sitting in his own mess. Lord knows for how long. We finally were able to move him to the hospice house, so at least he wouldn’t die a sad agonizing death. He died about 16 hours after he got to hospice. I truly believe it’s

The availability of dialysis and rehab are the only reason to place a loved one at this place .Most are 'too busy" to help the sick and disabled receive the quality of life they so earned and deserved. Ridicule and negativity spreads from the therapy department like wildfire. Deragtory disrespect and verbal abuse from Jennifer in the therapy department make the visits in her presence unwarranted. No accountability for her words or actions when vocalized to her boss Gerald. Kudos to Csay for his love and care to the residents. We need more like him there. One man cannot care for them all! Be cautious when considering placing your loved one in the hands of these folks.

Very interesting place. Never did I imagine i would find myself in a nursing home but I believe I’ve landed in a place were most of the staff enjoys doing what’s best. Likened unto most places there are always a few bad apples an some extremely toxic ones but they often times never last. Thankfully..The pines has the ability to make any transition a Pleasant reality the right staff have been put on the court at the right time. Some need to be kept on the bench just a little longer. Training is everything especially when the lives of others are in ones hands

Understaffed. If your loved one is unable to feed themselves, there is a possibility they may not be eating. I've seen this time and time again, when the tray was brought but the patient was unable to feed themselves or even unaware that the tray was there (due to vision or hearing loss or mental state) so the the full meal was taken back untouched. Keep in mind, when a person doesn't eat or drink, their organs start shutting down. It would be beneficial if they put out some kind of volunteer request during mealtime if they aren't going to staff properly. And I do feed some of the residents myself when I go visit. I'm sure the RNs and CNAs/ GNAs are doing what they can, but when there are only a few per unit they are spread thin.

As a retired RN I must say you all know what your doing. And you do it very well. I found ALL STAFF cheerful and expert in care delivery. The facility is clean and most people smile when they walk past you in the hall. I felt my dear Husband was safe in your care. All the Therapists are super too. Very encouraging and positive. I am very grateful for all the excellent care given to Johnny. Tracie Nolan RN
