Pine Acres Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center

My mom recently spent a month at Pine Acres for sub-acute rehab. While many of the nurses there are kind and conscientious, some stop just short of an eye roll at simple requests like water or tea. Some of the employees do not speak English very well, which made communication difficult for my mom. My mom was frequently unkempt when I arrived, her hair matted and dirty, etc. The PT was kind and competent, but sessions were not on a schedule at all. My mom was woken at random times throughout the week for PT, often refused as she was groggy or confused, and almost never had sessions as a result. She was essentially bedridden for her whole time there. I asked for notification of the daily PT schedule so I could be there to motivate her, was promised, but never got it. The facility its

The staff are first class. The food is second to none and if call them they come running. I’ve owned my owner business for 40 years and never met such nice people. I went to the gym yesterday and the therapist did a lot of exercises with me. These girls are so good. I couldn’t do what they do

I give Pine Acres so much praise for their care of my mom. I saw the great Google reviews so I set up an appointment to do a walk through and I was very impressed. My mom is a retired nurse that worked in nursing homes. I grew up going into nursing homes so I know the difference between a good and not so good nursing home. My mom developed dementia and it is such a debilitating disease, also it took a toll on her mentally. They are very patient with her behaviors and know hot to put her at ease. The staff is very caring and empathetic with my mom. All of the people that work at the front desk, the nurses, the custodial staff, the aides, the Director of Admissions Samantha, the Director of Nursing Cassandre and Leo the Nursing Home Administrator are always helpful and responsive.
