Piedmont Urgent Care

I had Flu/Covid symptoms and saw Porsche, a NP. She was very kind, thorough and professional. After getting my health history she checked me for significant diseases and discovered I had Flu A. She ordered a chest xray due to my past history with pulmonary problems. Treatment was appropriate and well thought out. I find Piedmont Urgent Care a good place to go when I’m ill and don’t want to drive 40 mins to see my family Dr or can’t get an appt there. I’m a retired RN and feel confident with the level of care I’ve received here at the Milledgeville location.

I was extremely happy with my visit there today. The staff was very courteous and the nurse who started my IV was just amazing. I hardly felt the needle go in and while I was receiving the fluids she was very attentive, periodically checking in on me to see if I needed anything. Dr. Smith was first class! Very knowledgeable of my situation and was very helpful with ideas so I could get better quicker.

I’m giving three stars this time. I like to come to this urgent care but the wait time is HORRIBLE. I even completed my registration online before arriving. They call you back to a room pretty quickly but then you are just waiting there for two hours or more. I’m also curious as to why there is always only one doctor or nurse practitioner on duty?

1st time going, and they were very attentive, took good care of me and my husband Dr. M. Williams is a very good Doctor. I do recommend Piedmont Urgent care if you don't want to be in long hrs waiting to be taken care of in the emergency room from the hospital, Piedmont Urgent care will be the 1st to go. Everyone person I encountered was patient and kind. Max was excellent, very thorough and made sure I understood all the details of symptoms, test, prescription , and recommendations for me at home!! The online appointment was easy and I didn’t have to wait! I was seen at my appointment time!!😁
