Philip Engel, DMD

After a traumatic fall, an infection and cyst, i ended up needing two implants in my two front teeth as a young adult. As scary as this was, doctor Engel supported me through this and made the extraction and bone grafting, painless and nonetheless comfortable. He made sure I was comfortable the entire procedure, putting me under, and my post-op care was amazing. If you ever need an implant procedure, this is the doctor to go to, his work was beautiful and amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. His staff is incredibly caring and amazing as well.

Abysmal bedside manner and heavy handed approach. I came in with dry socket and was in severe pain. I could barely open my mouth and he was rushing me while I was struggling to speak. He impatiently approached the situation and then packed my dry socket in a way that felt like I was getting stabbed. I went to see his colleague, Dr. Richard Stern, to get it repacked and he was gentle and it did not hurt at all. Oral surgery and the related complications are no joke; I did not have a good experience with Philip Engel and would not recommend Philip Engel to anyone getting oral surgery or post-op treatment.

Very pleased with Dr Philip Engel and the entire staff of the Oral Surgery Group. From a tooth extraction to the installation of the implant it was a pain free procedure that I would classify as a non-event meaning that there was no inconvenience to me the patient. Staff was excellent and very accommodating and I would highly recommend the Oral Surgery Group and Dr Engel.

I recently got my bottom wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Engel from The Oral Surgery Group and it was such a positive experience. The surgery and recovery went smoothly. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout this process. The facility is clean and well kept. I highly recommend this group for any oral surgery needs.

Dr. Engel and his nurses were amazing. Surgery was a breeze after they explained everything in detail and showed me how extractions would go I felt very comfortable and ready. No pain and no issues after. Strongly recommend Dr. Engel.
