Dr Amar and his team was recommended by the Breastfeeding Resource Center when my first had a tongue and lip tie, and we were so satisfied with our experience that we returned with my son when he had the same issues (thanks genetics). Dr Amar is so kind, patient, and thorough in his evaluation. His evaluation ensures that the ties are actually affecting functioning rather than just looking in the mouth and pressuring to complete the treatment. He displays understanding of how the ties can affect both breastfeeding and bottle feeding, and is transparent that some changes may not happen immediately, but rather can be seen over time as the baby re-learns how to feed. Our little one has had major issues eating since day one. Dr. Singh was incredibly helpful in identifying his tongue and lip tie, and treating it accordingly. It has only been 1.5 weeks since he had them corrected, and already our feeding journey looks so much different. We are so grateful for Dr. Singh and his team! We found the entire center to be clean, friendly, and welcoming. They were as gentle as can be with our sweet little guy, who was less than 2 months old at the time of his procedure. We had an incredible experience with Dr. Singh! After some early feeding challenges, it was suspected that my 2 month old son had some sort of oral tie. We then met with Dr. Singh, who went through a detailed history and examination to determine that there was in fact a tongue and lip tie. While examining, he also noticed a head turn preference and overall tension. He suggested that we wait to do a release and first pursue OT/PT services to address the tension, in order to increase our chances of a successful release. After a few weeks of occupational therapy, it was determined that my son was a much better candidate for release and we went ahead and scheduled. The release process itself was quick and very smooth. Dr.Amar and his team are the DREAM team that you could have ever hoped and asked for in your child’s life. Often times I find myself hoping he opens his office to adults as well because of how much he cares for his patients. And it shows in the time he has spent from customizing themed dental rooms to make all kids feel more comfortable. To the nursing room for parents to wait in. So much thought between providing diapers/wipes, a changing table, sound machine, nursing pillow. Anything a new mom would need to feel more comfortable, he has thought of! As a mom who does her research, this is where we decided to take the hour trip to get the procedure done. It was recommended by my lactation consultant. There’s a comfort knowing this is specifically for tongue and lip ties. The procedure took literally one minute. Daughter barely cried. They have a lactation room to help calm baby down after if needed. Dr. Singh is very personable, patient, and gentle. He makes sure you feel comfortable with exercises and gives his cell number to contact him anytime with questions.
