Phelps Memorial Health Center

This is a world-class small hospital. I know hospitals; I'm a 100% disabled veteran and have been to many hospitals over the last 57 years. This place is a great asset for the Phelps County (NE) area and, in particular, Holdrege, NE. Great support staff, wonderful medical staff, exemplary ER staff, unbelievably bright and clean facility from top to bottom. This praise extends to the "C" Suite - leadership here is fantastic. I have to also praise the Terrace Café which is within the hospital but open to the public. Fantastic "Chow Hall," uhm, "Open Mess," er, I mean Dining Hall! Great, well prepared food. Great prices.

The hospital and staff is great. We love using this hospital but the current billing system is chasing patients away. Expecting a bill to be paid off in 10 months or less or demanding $500 a month payments is driving patients to services with more reasonable payment plans. It’s a shame because other than that it is a top notch hospital with top with top notch service.

My experience with Phelps Memorial Health Center has been Great! The nurses, aides & Drs were All Very Professional & Thorough explaining what was going on before & after my procedure. I Highly Recommend this facility for healthcare.
