Pharmacy | Kaiser Permanente Parkside Medical Office

I wanted to give a shoutout to Christine! I was trying to call a different Kaiser pharmacy location to check on a prescription that was in my profile incorrectly but they weren’t open, so I called the Parkside location to see if they could help me. Christine answered the phone and after some digging found out that the prescription was entered in incorrectly by the pharmacy and that an authorization form that I needed wasn’t sent in. She took it upon herself to fix the prescription and send a new form in. She also said she would call the other location the next day and clarify that they got everything and explain our conversation. She took customer satisfaction to the highest level! My husband hasn’t had his diabetic insulin for almost 9 months because they can’t get their act together. Every time his non-Kaiser doctor sends a prescription for one they ‘didn’t get it’ and when they finally ‘receive’ it they always send it back but NO ONE in Kaiser can tell him why. He was feeling good before his employer switched to Kaiser then they changed half of his meds (w/o his doctors permission) because they didn’t cover them although they were very basic meds. We can’t wait until he’s able to switch to a new insurance.

Only been with them 2 to 3 months once I learned Walgreens closing several stores. So far they have not disappointed and it seem they are somewhat more efficient than was the case with WG. In winter months I will change to mail order and see how that service goes. To date no regrets in changing to KP also our Medicare Supplemental carrier.

Very clean, friendly, and well built facility. Love to see all the decor, the window, there's a unisex restroom, and even the nox box is installed correctly, someone clearly cares about this building.

I have always had mediocre visits to this location that just tread the water line of average. This would be your usual visit to the pharmacy of waiting 3-5 minutes in line and then paying for your prescription and you're on your way with your day. No one remembers your name or face. The workers are just humans in shoes that receive minimal pay for minimal effort. No harm there. And to renounce any suspicions, I am not a force of "Karen" evil that conjured this review from one low-key bad interaction either. No, I am not aiming to dish out a single-star review out of spite for this business. I just want for the next person in my shoes in life to be helped effortlessly, and in a streamlined manner.
