Pharmacy | Kaiser Permanente Mountain View Medical Offices

I started coming to this location about two years ago and have often experienced a rude attitude from the front staff, mostly from a girl with curly hair. She has not only been rude to me, but I have also noticed her being rude to other clients, which makes the environment uncomfortable. The last two times I visited, I was helped by a Hispanic girl named Joseline (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly). She was very polite, kind, and incredibly helpful with my special needs daughter’s medication. I just wanted to take a moment to show my appreciation for her great service.

They take much longer to fill a prescription when you order online, takes twice as long as the Santa Clara Main Pharmacy. They sometimes cancel my orders for HRT, claiming that it's too soon to fill and making me wait 2-3 weeks, even if I should be able to refill. Most of the workers here are nice, but I keep having issues with one of them. She's a young woman, I'm not sure if she's hispanic or filipina. Anytime I pickup ANY medication with her on the register, she always wants me to say my "dead name"(name before transitioning) out loud, even though I changed it legally almost 4 years ago. No other worker makes me do this, not even in other locations, and not even when picking up a prescribed controlled medication. I'm not sure what her issue with me is. The one star is for the employee with whom I had an encounter. I would give her zero stars if I could. I don't usually use the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, but this was a special case. I was there on March 21 at approximately 10:17am at register 3. The person behind the counter was impatient when I had trouble sliding my drivers license. She kept repeating "hold it straight. No, other way." Finally she held up a piece of paper to show me the way I should hold it. I tried to slide it but I don't see well and it was difficult for me to see the seam where it fits in. She got very impatient and somehow I found where to slide it but apparently it timed out. She called for an override and when I tried again and had trouble, so she said in a huff, "You did it before" Again, I don't see well

I've been a member of kaiser for many years. The Pharmacy at Kaiser Mountain View Castro has been especially responsive, attentive and helpful to fulfill my medications and OTC products in a timely and highly communicative manner. The team has worked together to find and deliver high quality products, quickly address back orders or change products when items cease production. I especially appreciate Mayra, Amy, Josephine,e and Kyle's attentions and hard work to provide care and follow-up for my health, which makes the experience pleasant and reduces stress, contributing to the success of my overall health plan. Closes at 5:30pm is a joke. Y'all closing ten minutes early. Change your times if it's not going to be accurate and you LOCK the doors before close time at 5:30. I need my prescription.
