Peter C. Serpico, DO, FACOI

I found Dr Peter Serpico to be very understanding, knowledgeable and caring. He explained everything to me, ordered the tests I need and, gave me samples of a medication to use, before my next appointment. Pleasant office staff and person’s who did preliminary work ups on myself. Easy check out as well. I would recommend him to others. I had used Dr Richard Shusterman prior to this. No objections to either doctor. Simply put Dr Serpico had an appointment available the quickest.

Find a doctor who sees the more holistic connection underlying sleep apnea. Too stubborn and uninformed to think the apnea score was the sole measure of success. Condescending when my use case presented with a reduction of apneas “ a success” but with such disruption in sleep architecture not able to function. Couldn’t get that.

Dr Serpico treated me after seeing 3 other pulmonologist and he was the only one who got my cough u der control. I place full confidence in his abilities and do not hesitate to recommend him

My father in law was referred to Serpico due to trouble breathing, shortness of breath, and coughing. He was also having back pain. Serpico made a comment along the lines of “I don’t know what you want me to do about your back pain, I’m a lung doctor”. I thought that was pretty rude, considering back pain can be a common symptom in different lung conditions, so it would be relevant information for a lung doctor to have. After some scans, Serpico sent him off to an oncologist. It took a month of doctor appointments, scans, and biopsies to receive a pneumonia diagnosis. All that time my father in laws infected lungs only got worse because nobody thought to give him antibiotics. serpico was unable to diagnose his pneumonia - That was done by the oncologist by way of biopsy. This man couldn’t

We had an appointment with another doctor in the practice when Dr Serpico arrived. Decided to meet with him regarding sleep apnea. He referred us to Temple for the Inspire surgery. Receptionist questioned why Temple and not Jefferson where all of their other patients had been referred. Come to find out the Temple was recently out to solicit the practice and we were referred to a doctor who has never even performed the surgery before. Furious!
