Personalized Care and Concierge Medicine at Johns Hopkins

My experience with Alicia, Tanya, Kelly and, of course, Dr. Clever has been characterized by insightful diagnoses, timely response times, incredibly clear and unhurried communication, and easy access to Dr. Clever even on weekends and holidays. I always felt that Dr. Clever and her entire staff genuinely cared about my physical and emotional health. Dr. Clever never just told me what to do. She took the time to explain patiently and clearly what the options were, the advantages and risks associated with each option and why she was recommending a particular course of action. When I had questions, she engaged thoughtfully and with an open mind. I cannot emphasize strongly enough how reassured and comfortable it is to be in her practice.

Dr. Clever has been an excellent provider! I’m so glad I found her! She’s responsive and takes my concerns seriously. She is thorough, thoughtful, and empathetic. Her office team has also done a great job with helping me to coordinate appointments for additional testing.

I joined Johns Hopkins Concierge Medicine expecting coordinated, personalized care, but my experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Despite complex health needs, follow-up and communication have been poor. Dr. Albert repeatedly failed to coordinate with specialists, even after procedures suggesting serious conditions. Promised support—especially post-surgery and between providers—was lacking, and messages often went unanswered. The care has felt disorganized, and I’ve had to push for basic coordination myself. This is not the level of service I was led to expect from a concierge program, and it has added stress rather than easing the burden of managing my health.
