Perry Point VA Medical Center - VA Maryland Health Care System

I avoided using VA health for a long time after I got out of the military, largely due to all the horror stories I heard from other veterans. After paying some astronomical prices from regular health care providers in the area, I decided to give Perry Point a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Perry Point VA health clinic has provided me with nothing but prompt, professional, and helpful care for all of my health concerns. I've been able to get appointments within a week or two at most outside of specialty care. All doctors and staff have been helpful, and always listened to my concerns. If you are a veteran in the area, I highly recommend this facility.

As a Veteran myself who recognizes privacy issues, I can't share names, but a family member has been staying here. Despite the poor rating of this VA Facility, he states that his treatment has been consistent, the staff has been friendly, and the other patients get along well with no drama. What's sad is that so many veterans have no idea that this hospital is available for the treatment of PTSD, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Bi-Polar Disease, Anxiety and more - for FREE. Meetings are available daily, and in addition to psychological assistance, medical physicians are available too. The hospital is spotless, you can choose the food you'd like to eat for 3 meals a day, and it tastes 😋 good. TVs 📺 aren't in the room, but they are in the Dayroom, along with pool tables, etc. It's even open to

UNBELIEVABLE that this place exists! I'm amazed at the peace and solitude I find here. The staff are helpful and nice. You will always run into the exception wherever you go, so don't let one person's experience trouble you, strive to make your own (report them if they are terrible). They have many programs to help Vets. If you have substance abuse issues, PTSD, Homeless, physical disability, broke, anything really, they can help you. The meals are extremely wonderful and tailored to each individual. There are shuttles and buses that travel to Perryville, Elkton, Cecil County, Harford County, and to the Baltimore VA, as well as the MARC/AMTRAK trains.

I love this VA Center. The staff are excellent! The Physician assigned to me is great. Whenever I have a medical problem, I get an appointment at a reasonable time and they listen to the symptoms I have and do a great job getting to the route cause. The amount of time it takes for labs, x-rays, and MRIs is phenomenal. Words cannot express how thankful I am for their service.

I had a very good experience at Perry Point. The staff was excellent and caring. Especially the music room where I helped organize.
