Horrible hospital, disgusting, too many incompetent staff members, and the food is absolutely atrocious. Husband had a heart attack and cannot get in to see his surgeon for a follow up after his surgeries. They are also making him wait 2 months for cardiac rehabilitation that is supposed to start right away or it can hurt his recovery as the first 90 days are a high-risk period for another cardiac event, requiring careful management. He called multiple times to try and see his surgeon, who wrote in his chart that he needed a follow up within 5 to 7 days after his surgeries, and they just told him all the surgeons say that and if you are having problems go to the ER. Extremely rude and incompetent. A simple glance at his chart would show that the surgeon required a follow up visit. The nurs

The ER and stay on the 4th floor were good. The problem is with the discharge planning. I need to make a follow up appointment in a week with the neurologist that treated him for further care - stated on the discharge paperwork. When I call to do so the day after discharge, I am told that he was never seen by a neurologist - even though I am staring at Dr. Pacelli's name on the discharge forms. I am told I will need a referral from a PCP. There is no current PCP, so the one week follow up visit will now turn into months. I asked to speak to risk management and was sent to a never ending ringing phone with no messages. I called the 4th floor and spoke. The woman remembered us and confirmed it was the neurologist that treated my son. She said she would call me back. It has now been four days

if it’s going to take several hours to get patients into the ER, I suggest not having extremely bright fluorescent lights, to turn the overstimulating rap music off, and to have actual comfortable seating. There’s no seats to help support your neck I had to lie down on a freezing cold rock solid couch while my entire body ached in severe pain. Not to mention the florescent lights literally made my eyes burn red and my head throb in pain. I had a burning fever and they sent me back out to sit around all these people with no fever reducer and no nurses periodically checking on the patients waiting to make sure they were okay.

Worst hospital ever!! My husband was recently in Dubois hospital on the 3rd floor with an infection of his spine. He was left in a bed that he had spilled urine in because his nurse said he refused to get out of the bed for her to change it the 3 times she inquired and when i told her he couldnt gaet out of bed she said she knew that he could because he had gotten up that morning (this was now 6pm) for therapy, and she was going to let the next shift deal with it and hung up on me when i insisted she figured out a way to change his linens. Thereapy ended a session with him the next day helping him into the bathroom to use b4 helping him back in bed, they forgot about him leaving him there yelling for assistance after no 1 came back for him. Last week my husband was in the area hunting ( we live out of state) and had an accident that required emergency surgery. I cannot begin to describe the amazing experience we had here. Every single person we came in contact with (and there were A LOT) were so nice and went above and beyond! I have never had such a wonderful experience at a medical facility like I did at this one!
