I had such a disheartening experience here and would advise patients avoid. The front desk is very difficult to work with. And the practitioners are very hard to get into and hard to get in touch with while you’re waiting from time sensitive answers . I’ve tried to make appointments, use the online portal and nurse hot lines but they either don’t answer or follow up 7 days later, almost always pointing you to the ER and urgent care. I truly felt as though they did not have patient care at the heart of what they did and we’re unwilling to provide care.

As far as penn medicine goes, this is the worst location. Penn is generally very good, but the people in this office are careless and rude. I'm having brain surgery in 2 days and my dad wanted to drop off paperwork so he could take off and make sure I'm well cared for post op. They made us wait 12 days for a signature just to find out today that they lost the paperwork. Had the audacity to ask if I had a copy of it. Your job is paperwork, how do you lose someone's paperwork? Also why does it take 12 days to get a signature? If you had 1000 papers to sign, thats 5000 seconds, which is 83 minutes. The front desk staffs are very very unkind, rude, ill mannered, unprofessional. They are not welcoming at all. Didnt feel comfortable. They should be fired. This young girl was making faces while giving us a doctors note, very very unprofessional.

I had a new patient appointment with Tryphena Hsi scheduled 4 months in advance. I planned to come in my lunch break, which is 45 minutes. I showed up 15 minutes early, got checked in and roomed, then sat around in the exam room for 30 minutes until I had to leave (unseen) to get back to work. Front desk staff couldn't schedule me in for a new appointment for another 4 months. Front desk staff was very professional and did their best, but I'm really upset. If she was running this far behind someone should have contacted me and let me know not to waste my time driving over or offer me a different appointment. I'm an RN in a similar office and the way this was handled was very unprofessional.

I've been a patient here for 2+ years now and have seen a lot of improvement. I was wary of the bad reviews but the location is super convenient so I chose it anyhow. While the staff at the practice initially were a little lackluster, my visit today changed my opinion. Both front desk people were very nice and prompt! My appointment... was on time!! And Dr. Monahan was awesome per usual. She's truly the best PCP I've had and can't recommend her enough.
