Pediatric Cardiology

The people are nice as always, but the environment is not very kid friendly. Guess it's byo crayons..... does chkd have a child life specialist or have they heard of family centered care. Update. They have put a lot of effort in over the last few years and seem much more care minded.

Had an apt for my son. My other child with special needs had an accident (soiled clothing). I explained this to the staff after they had been very rude and condescending about arriving TWO minutes past their “grace period”- they refused to keep him on the schedule. This was after the front desk person said he could still be seen- just later. It is inexcusable for the staff to speak to anyone in the manner that they did. This was absolutely SHOCKING to experience at CHKD. I have been taking my kids to CHKD and their specialists for 10+ years now and have NEVER experienced anything like this. It is definitely worth the time to find a different cardiologist.
