Pediatric Associates Miami Lakes

This review is not about the doctors, who have always been wonderful. It is strictly about the front desk and administrative staff at the Miami Lakes location. I have two children — a 2-year-old and a baby. My 2-year-old was seen at the Kendall location for over a year with no major issues. After moving to Hialeah Gardens, I decided to continue care for both kids at the Miami Lakes office, and unfortunately the experience has gone downhill. Since switching locations, the wait times to see the doctor have consistently increased — first 30 minutes, then 40 minutes, and at our last visit almost an hour. Anyone with a toddler knows how unreasonable it is to keep a 2-year-old waiting that long in a closed exam room but hey that was the past. Today was the breaking point. My baby had a schedu

I had the best experience with Dr. Georgina Blay. Despite having limited Spanish knowledge, she made a genuine effort to speak with my guardian in Spanish, which meant a lot to us. She's incredibly caring, polite, and overall just an amazing person. It’s a bit of a bummer that she’s a floater—I truly hope she becomes a permanent primary physician here. She would be such a valuable asset.

This place is very unprofessional and incompetent, I do not recommend you trust them to provide the care for your child especially if they are under the age of 5. They outsource all their work to a department that is not adequately trained and is simply a middle man to the actual doctor. They provided me with a “referral” to see an audiologist and after weeks of trying to get an appointment and finally being seen I was turned away because they provided incorrect paper work and did not give me a copy of the referral signed by the doctor. I had to go through the trouble of advocating for myself and my child to get the right paperwork and they still sent it incorrectly a second time, they have no idea what they are doing or talking about. I had a wonderful experience at Pediatric Associates in Miami Lakes thanks to Alejandro the nurse. He was amazing with my child patient, kind, and very professional. His charisma and the way he handled everything made us feel comfortable and cared for. You can really tell he loves what he does and has a true vocation for helping kids. We left very happy with the visit and truly appreciate the excellent care he provided. I also want to give thanks to the doctor Gomez 🙏🏼

Update: I wanted to share an update after my last review because Pediatric Associates corporate truly made things right. After my frustrating experience, I spoke with an amazing representative named Naomi, who immediately took the time to look into my son’s account. Within minutes, she confirmed that my referrals were ready and sent them to me right away. Her professionalism, patience, and compassion were everything you’d hope for in someone working in pediatric healthcare. Shortly after, I received a call from Stephanie from corporate, who was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, understanding, and genuinely cared about resolving the issue. She turned a very stressful experience into a positive one by listening, apologizing, and giving me direct support moving forward. It means a lot wh
