I am submitting this review to formally document a highly concerning and unprofessional experience I witnessed during a visit with Pediatric Associates involving my 2-week-old premature grandchild, for whom I was the caregiver present at the appointment. Throughout the visit, there was a repeated failure by staff to acknowledge the medical vulnerability of a premature newborn or to respect the concerns raised by a family member advocating for the child’s comfort and safety. An assistant, Giselle, entered the examination room on three separate occasions requesting that my grandchild’s clothing be removed. We had to go to this office in August, as needed an appointment ASAP. The appointment we got was on Saturday, I got a call and was said I needed to bring copay in cash. So I scraped those 40 dollars at home, usually we don't have cash, so I remember I got that money some in old 1 dollar bills. At the front desk nobody was friendly or polite, the lady said to pay. I asked if they were gonna give me a receipt, she coldly said NO. After that I got 40 dollars bill for that visit, that I again have to pay for. And the manager on hotline told me Pediatric associates do not accept cash at any office ever. What is that?

Major sexism and favoritism by the manager and staff here at this location. Today was my sons 6th month check up. I called ahead of time for my newborns 3 month check up to let them know that the father is abusive and illegally trying to prevent me from attending his appointments. Was treated terribly by staff today based off of lies from the abusive father, despite at our last appointment very clearly establishing that both me and the father will be attending appointments with the manager present in the room. Even going as far as to tell us both of us will be notified for appointments and both of us will attend with an advocate in the room. At this appointment the father made a scene and the manager in particular made me to feel like a terrible mother for attempting to attend my child's 6

From the start of the appointment, the experience felt overwhelming and dismissive. An assistant named Giselle entered the exam room on three separate occasions requesting that my son’s clothes be removed. Absolutely loved my first visit at Pediatric Associates in Coconut Creek. Dr. Giraldo was wonderful! She was so patient with all my questions and provided very thorough explanations and information. She gave excellent guidance for my newborn. Would highly recommend to anybody!
