Pediatric Associates Aventura

I want to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank Melinda Dolce, the medical receptionist at Pediatric Associates in Aventura. For over a month, I had been calling the referral department repeatedly, trying to get a referral for my son, and it had become incredibly frustrating. I was feeling overwhelmed and honestly unsure of how I would get it resolved. Then I reached out to Melinda, and she completely changed my experience. From the moment I spoke with her, she was professional, attentive, and extremely understanding of my situation. She didn’t just listen—she took immediate action. Within just 10 minutes, she had everything sorted and my referral was taken care of. I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently she handled what had been such a stressful process for me. Incredible place, beautiful, clean. Organized, no wait, treated with such care, very thorough exam. Dr. Sofia answered all our questions, gave us great advice and direction for my son and we felt heard and seen, she didn’t rush us or dismiss my concerns. The front desk staff helped me set up the app, book my appt and the times the Dr is available works with my schedule late afternoon early evening and Saturdays. We can’t wait to go back!

Everything was great, but why did they change the system? This HEALOW app is just terrible! I can't properly view the necessary documents, it constantly freezes, but most importantly, it's impossible to schedule an appointment! I have to personally go to the doctor's office to make an appointment. This is crazy. The previous Pediatrics app worked perfectly for 7 years, and for almost a year now I haven't been able to cope with the new one because of the bugs in the application. Please, change everything back.

I had an appointment for my son at 8:55 a.m., and we arrived at 9:07 a.m. due to traffic. We waited about five minutes before they called him in. The staff was amazing—super efficient but never made us feel rushed. They checked his height, weight, blood pressure, did a vision test, and took his blood. Every single staff member who interacted with him gave him a sticker, and you could see how proud and happy it made him. It turned something that could’ve been stressful into a really positive experience for him. Dr. Saltzman was wonderful; he examined my son thoroughly and answered all of my questions. We were completely done within 30 minutes of arriving. Highly recommend this office!

I had an appointment at 9:40 and they made me wait 1 hour with a newborn. They put too many appointments and the doctor is in a rush and want to finish the visit in less than 5 minutes. The doctor itself was useless and just showed the computer with the growth graph. I asked him to check the baby eyes and he refused to even look he just said: I’ll send a referral to a specialist. Didn’t even look! Finally the referral was not open, it was specified another doctor name and this doctor do not accept my insurance. I’m not going back to this place and I don’t recommend anyone going too.
