Patient First Primary & Urgent Care - Taylor Road

I went in because I lost hearing in my left ear. I was 99% sure that it was from wax blockage, as this is something I've experienced several times. I got seen by Daniel Hooker and he looked in my ear for a few seconds and said there was no wax present but there was an issue with my eustachian tube. Didn't take time to hear about how this was a repeated thing or hear anything I had to say at all. Just threw the diagnosis in my face as if he was and was ready to get me out as fast as possible. He prescribed me a nasal spray and some pill and just kinda rushed me out with barely any explanation. I asked what to do and he just said follow the instructions on the box. I then asked what to do if the medications don't work and he just shrugged and said see a pcp or come back? Then he just rushed

I would like to take a moment to recognize Tavonne, the PSR who assisted my mom and me during our recent visit to the Patient First location on Taylor Road. From the moment we arrived, Tavonne was very warm and inviting. She greeted us with a genuine smile and immediately made us feel welcomed. She was also very informative, patient, and helpful throughout the check-in process, which made the visit much smoother and less stressful. Tavonne's professionalism, kindness, and excellent customer service truly stood out. She made both my mom and me feel comfortable and well taken care of, and experiences like this truly make a difference. Thank you for fostering such a welcoming environment and for having staff like Tavonne who represent Patient First so well.

Registration was fast, easy and front desk staff very pleasant. However, the tech that took me back said very little, erroneously calculated my weight; the 20-minute stated wait in the patient bay became at least 45-min with no one ever checking on me or providing an update; the attending physician Dr. V was not personable; no instructions or explanations were given verbally regarding the prescribed medications. Overall one of the least satisfying visits I've ever had at that location. I've had some great experiences but not this time.

This is the first time I did not have a long wait which was great! The intake nurse was very nice. I was not impressed with the X-ray technician. Never in my life have I ever been told to put my hair up in a ponytail because my hair would interfere with the X-ray. I didn’t like her attitude. The doctor was very nice and helpful. I appreciated the doctor’s care and concern.

The practitioners and support staff at this Patient First are outstanding. They are calm, organized and efficient. It is a well oiled machine that gets patients in and out in as little time as possible. They never seem to get flustered with the huge number of patients coming through the door. Everyone I encountered today, smiled, greeted me sincerely and got the job done. Thanks to everyone that put me back on the road to recovery in less than 2 hours.
