So. I went into urgent care for the exact thing they are supposed to be good at: an infection that needed antibiotics and to be lanceted. The problem is that the doctor who was supposed to lancet it didn't do a good job. As in, he didn't sufficiently numb the area and then he lanceted the wrong spot. Unfortunately, his error caused me to miss another two days of work last week as the infection got worse and I had to go to first my PCP for more antibiotics, and then the emergency room where the doctor there correctly diagnosed my problem and lanceted the correct location. I've made a speedy recovery since that emergency room visit, but I'm not looking forward to my ER bill. The rest of it was fine. All of the staff, including the doctor, were very nice. It definitely is not a speedy process
I had a positive experience at Patient First. The staff was organized, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout my visit. My questions were addressed clearly, and the care felt thorough from check-in to discharge. While wait times may vary depending on the hour, it reflects their commitment to giving each patient the attention they deserve. The Landover Hills location runs a solid operation, and the team there deserves recognition for maintaining a high standard of care. 👏🏾👏🏾
I visited Patient First this morning after falling on ice and injuring my back. I’ve been suffering from lower back pain, and from the moment I arrived, I was treated very well. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and as soon as I finished my paperwork, they called me right away. The staff checked my blood pressure and everything was normal, and they carefully evaluated my injury, including doing an X-ray. They also prescribed medication to help with my pain. The team was professional, caring, and attentive. I really appreciated how efficiently everything was handled. I felt well taken care of and respected as a patient. Thank you to the entire staff for providing excellent urgent care service.

This was one of the most disturbing healthcare experiences my family has ever had. My father went to Patient First Landover Hills because he had been urinating blood for two days, a serious and alarming medical issue. Instead of providing care or showing even basic human concern, he was turned away because of an outstanding balance. Let that sink in. A man with a potentially life-threatening condition was denied treatment over money. No urgency. No compassion. No attempt to assess him. Just “you have a balance.” It felt like they would have rather let him suffer, or worse, than do their job as healthcare providers. What makes this even more disgusting is that my father left, got the money, and paid the balance, proving this was never about inability to pay, it was about refusing care in
