Pat is great! I have struggled with hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction and Interstitial Cystits for 15 years. After having my first baby, I saw Pat to help with post partum recovery. At first, I was unsure about her program because it is so different than other PT programs I have used in the past. But IT WORKS! My bladder is by far the best it has been in my adult life. Additionally, the pelvic injury I sustained during my son's birth is significaly improved. I went from feeling pain most of the time to feeling pain infrequently. I also have been taught tools to make pain calm down when it does occur. Pat is very accessible- responding to texts outside of appointment times. I underwent PT for a frozen shoulder late in 2021. Laura Panzarella's work along with the at-home practice that she recommended for me to do made a very dramatic improvement in my pain and limitation of motion in a relatively short period of time. I highly recommend this practice. As an aside, I had been going to another PT in Charlottesville for 3 months before that. During that time, my frozen shoulder pain had increased.

Update: I received a phone call offering me an appointment. Staff was very apologetic for the misunderstanding and offered to get me in this week. Will update with more information once I meet with the PT. My OB at UVA referred me for pelvic pain in pregnancy but I have yet to hear back about whether or not they will be able to see me. I’ve left multiple messages trying to get an appointment. I can’t speak to how the practice yet because I can’t get anyone to call me back which is a shame because they came highly recommended from my doctor. I’ll make sure to let my OB know about the trouble that I’ve had trying to get an appointment and to maybe consider referring our to another practice.
