My experience at Pariser Dermatology Specialists was hands down one of the worst and most unprofessional medical encounters I have ever had. I arrived for my 8:00 AM appointment and was completely finished by 8:05 AM, which should have been my first red flag. Dr. Rachel Ellis rushed into the room wearing her winter coat, immediately stating she needed to change clothes. She then rolled in a video monitor with another person appearing on the screen, never once introducing who that individual was or asking for my consent to have them present. As a first-time patient, this was extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. Within less than five minutes, without thoroughly examining me or asking about my medical background, Dr. Ellis dismissed all of my concerns by saying “this will never change

I have been going to Pariser Dermatology Specialists for years and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Everyone is friendly and courteous. I especially commend Dr. Melissa Alcox and Medical Assistant Christeanna Wilson. My exams are always thorough and they take the time to listen and answer questions. I don't feel like a patient but a valued friend. They made me feel special when I was having an emotionally personal moment during my recent visit and I really appreciate it.

Dr. Byrd and her staff are great. I am from NC and have not had the best experiences with dermatologists in Elizabeth City. So glad I decided to drive the extra 30 minutes to Dr. Byrd. She took her time with me and literally checked every inch of my skin. Not once did I feel rushed or overlooked. Such a great feeling compared to what I’ve dealt with in the past. The staff are very friendly (the two guys, I think Kyle and Rick- and the girl at the front desk, Bree) - so glad I found this place. Super boujee waiting room, it’s gorgeous 😏 highly recommend.

I had a great experience here. I was able to get next day appointment for a painful cyst. Dr. Byrd was so nice and personable. Also the assistant Zach was so kind and great with the numbing shots I had to have. Dr. Byrd got me fixed up and heading out all in around 30 minutes. I’ll definitely be back if needed in the future. Thank you!

The best experience I’ve had with any doctor in a long time. I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly, and both of the issues I went in with were addressed and fixed. The doctor was friendly and listened to my concerns and explained in detail what the problems were. Can’t recommend Dr. DeHart enough!
