PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Reno

My husband moved to Pam Health from Renown hospital on 1/10/25 and it has been good to be here and to have him cared for with such great standard of care. Their clinical navigator Ashley came and spoke with us at Renown to explain their long term acute care hospital background and what the transition could look like. She was so nice to also accommodated us with a tour for myself and my sister to go see Pam health prior. The entire team from the director of strategy and integration- Jenny (who gave us the tour) up to each nurse caring for him day/night have been wonderful- especially the fantastic wound care team- Tina & Kelly. Morgan, Lauren, Tina, Leslie, Maria, Maggie, Tom, Jackie, Maria, Tom, Jim, Mary Ann, Miguel and the hospitalist Katie as well Dr. Brennan were amazing. The kitchen staff needs more help with bed interactions and bed-side manner and learn what finger food is. I felt ignored at times.

Everyone took wonderful care of me . I felt so comfortable. Wound care was the best ! I'm so grateful I was able to come here for my recovery.

The team here at PAM are phenomenal. From day one, the Nursing Team and Physical/Occupational Therapists have been so kind and dedicated to my husband and his recovery. The Wound Care Team is absolutely exceptional. In the two short weeks of his stay, his body recovered exponentially. His P/T is an absolute angel, helping him so much more than just physically. He was a great source of emotional support for my husband. His Infection Team and Pain Management Team checked on him daily. The Leadership Patient Experience Liaison was a wonderful source of support with a wonderful sense of humor. We are grateful for staff with such integrity and excellent bedside manners. Medical expertise is important but staff who care make a difference. We are forever grateful to PAM and their awesome team.

This hospital is one of the best I’ve come across in my 20 years in Healthcare with its small and intimate setting. Not only are the nursing and support staff INCREDIBLE. Administration and Leadership staff are also very involved in making sure patients always have what they need and feel as comfortable as possible.
