PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dover

My family will forever be grateful for Nurse Carmen J. at PAM Rehabilitation in Dover, DE. She by FAR made my dad’s experience at this rehabilitation center one for the records. After my dad suffered a life-changing stroke, our world felt like complete chaos. During one of the most overwhelming months of our lives, Carmen stepped in with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care that went far beyond her job description. She was attentive to ALL of his needs, listened to him, advocated for him, and most importantly — made him feel seen and heard during such a vulnerable time. Everybody (Melissa Litton, Cheerie Wallenta, Val Jacobs, Meagan Barrows, Brittany Hill and Josh ; ) ) were very kind and helpful. I was really impressed with how this staff worked as a team and helped each other as often as much as they could. I was just really impressed with the care overall and I certainly have been recommending PAM to other people that I’ve talked to.

I love PAM rehab for my Father. He’s been here for about 5 days and the staff is excellent. I especially love his nurse Carmen Jones, she was pleasant , attentive and protective. She made sure he was totally comfortable and satisfied. I appreciate the care and bedside mannerism given to my dad.

My doctors were very good to me and got things done in a timely manner. Nicole, the director of case management, went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered and any concerns were addressed. The nurses were overall pretty good, Kendrel specifically made my experience awesome he was very attentive and caring. I did notice a lot of miscommunication with the CNAs during my stay, which was frustrating at times. The CNA Logan was very on top of everything though, he was very attentive and friendly. The OT and PT care that I received was the best part. When I started I could barely walk and now I can walk with the assistance of a cane. I was a little disappointed at times because my OT/PT sessions were supposed to be an hour long, but the majority of them only lasted 45 m

I was recently a patient at PAM for two weeks and I did out patient rehab for four and a half months. I had OT, PT, and ST because of my stroke. I found tem to be highly skilled professionals. I wasn't the best patient at times. I was so angry and depressed for several weeks. It was Valerie who helped me with that. Melissa was demanding and Caroline brought me along in OT expertly. There were several others. I came to PAM on a stretcher unable to move my right arm, hand, and leg. I walked out with no assistance. I'm continuing my exercises at home and have started back at planet fitness strengthening my muscles and doing the treadmill. I still have a long way to go. But I'm working hard to recover fully. I owe all of the therapists a great deal. I thank them sincerely.
