The WORST customer service I have ever seen in my life. In less than 15 seconds of talking to the person on the phone to discuss their mistake in billing, I was told "...so you are lying". How is someone like this still working in this professional field? This just shows the lack of care from the leadership of Palo Alto Medical Foundation who is the owner of Palo Alto Pathology. I will be definitely careful to never do any tests by this company.
WOW! If I could give ZERO stars I would. They are the worst to speak to. The representative at this office is VERY rude, and gave lots of attitude when the opportunity arose. I have received a couple bills from them in the past, which have stated they have tried to bill my insurance, and needed a current copy of my card. Sent it to them, and I haven’t heard from them for a couple of months until recently. I called the pathology office, and wow what a real PEACH the receptionist was. She basically hung up the phone after telling her thank you and have a great day. She told me I need to reach out to my insurance as they are the problem, and what my insurance has on file is supposedly wrong; Which it is not. I paid my bill when it was sent to me. And a week later I got the same billed again. It’s confusing as if I didn’t pay. and there is no email no voicemail. The lady over the phone I called before sounds like she hates her job. I have to tell my doctor to send my specimen elsewhere.
The number on the bill Palo Alto Pathology Inc sent me do not match the figure on the Explanation of Benefits from the insurance company. They are overcharging me. I called them, and they insisted that I have to pay for anything the insurance company doesn’t cover. I explained to them that they are in-network, and there was an agreement between the insurance company and them to provide me with discounts. However, they refuse to acknowledge this. I called the insurance company, and even when the insurance company called them, nobody answered. I really dislike their attitude!
1) The billing process is very outdated and confusing. 2) There’s a significant inconsistency between the insurance and this company, which led to a lot of back and forth communication. 3) The staff picked up my phone was very impatient, basically providing no information and asked me to go back to the doctor for checking the bill. 4) Unreasonable charge for the tests they do.
