Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Urgent Care Center

​I am writing to formally document a negative experience at your facility on December 19. I was initially treated for tonsillitis on the 15th and Missy Firth was amazing, but after five days of persistent, severe pain, I returned for a follow-up as instructed by my discharge paperwork. ​During this visit, I was deeply concerned by the conduct of Brywn McMahan. While waiting for 90 minutes, I overheard her speaking to several patients in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. One of the patients complained of pain while urinating, and she told her well your pee is clear. When she finally attended to me, her demeanor was impatient and unsympathetic. I was seen very quickly. All of my questions were answered. The exam, x-rays, and follow-up instructions were all very thorough. I was very impressed by the kindness shown by all of the personnel involved in the visit.

From the moment I walked in I was greeted with pleasant faces. My nurse was just nice as can be and very efficient and Amanda, the NP, was such a breath of fresh air. She is very personable, kind and efficient. I’m very pleased with her diagnosis and therapy choices. I’d love her as my PCP, but I like my regular one, too.

I will never suggest anybody go to this place unless you want your co-pay to be taken from you and nothing done. Went here a couple days ago paid my co-pay went in the back. They took my blood pressure looked over my notes from my doctor and said there was nothing they could do for me to go to the ER. I wasn’t there. 10 minutes. Waste of time waste of money. Seems like all they care about there is getting your co-pay. They are zero help.

Quick, attentive and friendly. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. I didn't catch her name but the receptionist greeted me with a huge and welcoming smile. Waited about 15 minutes and got seen by the nurse who was just as friendly. The doctor eased my embarrassment for why I was there. I got referred to the ER for my issue. From beginning to end the staff here was amazing. The facility was very clean. Kudos to them for being so nice! I hear of a lot of bad encounters.
