I’m new to Palm Desert and finding a new dentist can be daunting. I searched for reviews and read recommendations on my neighborhood NextDoor site and finally narrowed down to Modern Dentistry in Palm Desert with many positive reviews and recommendations. When I walked in to let them know I was needing a dentist the staff was very helpful to make sure my Insurance was covered.I had a broken filling that needed attention and they booked me within a few days. Dr Tran was very professional, made me feel at ease and was super thorough. I ended up having a cavity on the tooth of concern and needed a crown. I overall like the office and personnel but I really dislike the fact that it is not self contained. Getting dentistry from different dentists and different offices for me is totally off putting especially if a problem occurs. I have never experienced this before. My dentist in Hawaii and in Northern California handled everything and, if possible, the same day. Currently I have pain that’s been going on for over a week now and I had to go searching for a dentist to perform a possible root canal or tooth extraction. The dentist referral did not accept my insurance and it would have helped for the office to consider that in the referral.

Don’t trust this place. I made arrangements with them only for them to bill my card without me knowing ton”Secure” my first treatment. That wasn’t the deal, we had a date set for each month. Also, AFTER signing a contract for over $15,000 in services with them, the day before the procedure they tell me it’s almost $100 more a month. It was a 3 year contract so basically they added $1,200 somewhere and thats after I already signed. I don’t like that crap and that is very unethical and bad business practices.i don’t trust dentists and this totally sealed my beliefs. I cancelled my appointments, am spreading the word in a very big way and will never deal with these people again. Rip off artists!

I was very pleased with the dental care provided by the dentist, dental assistant and dental hygienist. They were all excellent. There were questions regarding my insurance coverage and I was going to be charged incorrectly. Fortunately one healthcare coordinator was willing to listen to me. She made a special effort to contact Delta Dental directly and was able to verify more correct information.
