Palatine Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center

Do not leave your loved one here! There are staff employed who do not follow directions provided by the hospital discharge papers. And it would seem that the head nurse is not aware of these problems until a family member brings them to her attention. Look around and find a better place before you lose your loved one like we did.

Terrible place. Do you want your loved one to be washed once a week? Do you want the physical therapist to be bs-ing during their appointment but still charge Medicare multiple times, appointment or not? Place was dirty, cobwebs, dust. Gross. I still have nightmares about my mom spending 2 weeks here for a rehab. 👎👎👎

This place is dirty. Bathing is not done on a regular basis. The only bathing happens when it’s done by his wife or another member of the family. Infected decubitus on legs not taken care of. Again, taken care of by family. The facility trying to discharge the patient with the patient not in good mental status. Trying to discharge the patient to his wife who can’t physically take care of her husband.

I would give this facility 0 stars if that was an option...the neglect and incompetence of the nursing care here is by far the worst I have EVER seen in my life. Please do not send your loved one's here...PLEASE DON'T!
