Palacios Community Medical Center

I went to the emergency room in Palacios to get antibiotics for a infection in my tooth. The provider named Travis was the one working that day. I had been very sick all weekend and granted I was not looking to good. I heard Travis tell the nurse I was probably a Methhead. I'm a 57 year old Grandmother who has never touched drugs or even drank alcohol . I was devastated that he would say that about me. Especially since I'm raising 2 toddlers alone because of their parents drug addiction. 2 days ago both my toddlers had something wrong with them and I got very concerned and took them to the emergency room , once again Travis was working. He did not even examine them he sent me home with two sick toddlers . When I got home I spent 2 minutes examine them my self and found what was going on.

My mom is there now. Bedside manner is lacking, especially one particular nurse. There were 2 occasions that I know of where she saw the doctor virtually via tablet. She didn’t get offered a bath/shower until we mentioned that she needed one 4 days after admission. It took my brother calling to be sure it happened. I wish Dr. Pulvino was still here.

The physical therapy clinic is a joke I have equipment in my garage and the female therapist is constantly on her phone they do not warm up their patients and they don't put together any kind of plan for their patients. It is the most unprofessional medical establishment in have ever been to so don't waste your time.

My Mother was recently a patient at Palacios Community Medical Center. She had surgery at a different Hospital and needed Skilled Level Care to help her get back on her feet. She is 92 and was affected in a bad way by the anesthesia. Truthfully, it did not look good and we were concerned about her recovery. We were also concerned that we were not familiar with the Palacios Hospital’s Swing Bed Program or what kind of care she might receive there. Unfortunately after 2 weeks she was still in a bad way and could not get out of bed. It did not look good….it was at that time when I really saw this facilities true colors. Where a lot of facilities would have given up at this point. Especially with a patient of her age. They did just the opposite. I could not believe how kind, patient and pos

My 4 year old had to have 2 staples in the back of his head and the staff at the hospital were AMAZING!!! They were great with my son and got two staples completed in less than 30 seconds. They were very conscious about the impatience of children, and got us in and out in under 30 minutes. The best experience I have ever had with a hospital.
