My GPA is above average, and my work experiences are strong. But, they said I could not get to the ABSN program due to a few W’s on my transcript — which were documented with extenuating circumstances. The criteria doesn’t seem to be truly holistic. And then they asked me to wait until they expire, which was time-consuming, completely defeating the purpose of the ABSN. (If I would be eligible to apply eventually, why did I need to wait and decelerate what was “accelerated”). 😭😂 Not being accepted was a blessing in disguise. I got accepted and was redirected to another RN program that was way more financially practical! :) PS: I appreciate the response to my review. But, it is too late now. Per the policy, having enrolled to another RN program makes an applicant ineligible to apply.

While I was very excited initially about this program, my interest quickly decreased over time due to my experience with my admissions advisor. Out of the several schedule phone call meetings Kelly and I had, she never once called me. I often waited prior to giving her a call to see if she would call me, but she never did, and when I let her know I was waiting, she would always have an excuse. “Oh I was just about to call you,” or “Oh I just left a voicemail,” (false, she never called). Every phone call I felt like she was either unprepared or giving me the run around. I do appreciate her time communicating with me, however I do feel like there was a lack of interest or accurate communication. Every information provided to me was often incorrect or given in circles of me asking repeatedly.

My admissions experience with PLU has been incredibly helpful. The support throughout this process has been unmatched. I've seen the other reviews and don't understand since I received such exceptional guidance. I am a first generation student and was uncertain how to pursue this path, but my advisor Ashley, made me feel prepared and supported. Based off my experience so far, I highly recommend this program.

Grateful to be part of an ABSN program where the staff truly care! They’re genuinely invested in our success. Sharing helpful tools, offering free tutoring, or giving up their Saturdays for exam reviews, their support is unmatched. A special thank you to Stephanie for making me feel welcome from day one, and to Dr. Z and Max for always encouraging me, especially on tough days. Nursing school isn't easy, but their support truly makes a significant difference. Proud to be on this journey with the PLU ABSN program!

This is a wonderful ABSN program! The professors truly want to see us succeed and they dedicate so much of their time and efforts to make us feel heard and provide us with numerous amount of resources to help us. The staff at this school treat their students as so much more than just a number on the roll call. I feel like I have an army behind me, cheering me on and ensuring I succeed during this journey!
