Owl Now Urgent Care

The ladies at the front seamed to be a little shot with people and came off a bit rude. The rest of the staff was super nice. To bad they are overshadowed but the no so polite people in the front. The countertop in the room was dirty. Could use better care to the clean up of the place. Lakeland location is much better all around in my opinion.

Took my son here with flu like symptoms. Checked in, waited, went back to a room. Not even five minutes later someone came in, I don’t even think it was a doctor, looked at my son’s throat and said it’s tonsillitis. No flu test, strep test, or anything. I asked the lady at the front desk if that’s normal to not even test him and she said depends on who you see. Ultimately a waste of time. Felt rushed and like they just wanted to get rid of us.

If you have a kid never bring him here. WORSE treatment in my life. My son need a X ray in the forehead but he has autism and obviously he doesn’t want to follow the instructions like to be still and no move but this nurse, his name is Paul he never help me with my son to have him still. And when I asked him “what do you do when you have another difficult kids here” He answered “We don’t treat kids here” so we never get the x rays because he doesn’t have the heart to help a mother that is worried because her 3 years old son has a hole in the forehead. So don’t waste your time if you have a kid that needs to be seen by a doctor you better go to another place.

Went in after calling and confirming they had flu tests. They did advise that it was under provider’s discretion. I got in an 8:23pm which receptionist emphasized. Front desk person seemed annoyed with every interaction. My insurance card clearly states my urgent care deductible is $75 but this visit with them was going to cost me $162. This amount was provided to me after being asked if I had met my deductible and out of pocket, which leads me to believe that insurance verifications do not take place. So basically, I was going to pay $162 to potentially not even get tested for flu, which was chief complaint. Took my ID and insurance card and left building. First and last time and will certainly discourage, even my worst enemies from going.

I took my 10yo son to be seen here today, signed the clip board with no one in sight... Sat down and waited about an hour.. saw them calling everyone after us to the back, so I got up to see why... Apparently the chick at the window was in the restroom when I signed us in and never checked us into the system... That is her ONE job!!!!! I told them to cancel checking us in an hour after being there and left. That is absolutely uncalled for and it wasn't even crowded. It was our 2nd resort after my son's Dr said he could not be seen as a walk in today... And I made it clear to both offices that my son had a bad cough and complaining of chest pain!
