Overlook Medical Center

I am writing to let you know what a wonderful experience I had during my stay at your hospital on 02/15/26-02/17/26. Everyone from the ER to the OR were super nice and professional. I was taken to the OR the same night I was admitted and have never felt so comfortable in my life. I was then taken to my room in 9D and everyone was caring and professional. I then had a second procedure the following day and the doctors and anesthesiologist came in and explained everything to me and I felt very comforted. I will definitely be using Overlook for any future needs. Thank you to Dr. James Lopes and Dr. Brown for your kindness and professionalism. Thank you to the nurses and other staff on 9D for being so attentive and caring. Great experience!!

I had surgery and the experience was excellent. The staff are kind and compassionate. From the minute, you walk in the door and are greeted to the registration personnel, the nurses ,the patient techs everyone was extremely helpful and informative for each step. The surgeon and the anesthesiologist have great bedside manner and are very communicative for each step from start to finish and then recovery. I cannot say enough, good things about my experience and would highly recommend Overlook Medical Center.

My apologies for not remembering everyone’s name. I tried hard to remember, but I can’t recall any of the events leading to me being in the ER on 1/20/26 nor do I remember much until after I was on the 7th floor in telemetry. So to all that cared for me in the ER, my family and I thank you so much. In telemetry, I gained mental consciousness and I remember Steve, Justin, Rene, and Lauren who were my nurses. Along with all of the awesome techs that cared for me, THANK YOU!!!!!! As a health care provider, I found such comfort in the way they each did their patient hand off at shift change. Best care ever! From the physicians to the nurses, TEXTBOOK bedside manner and care. The dietary and cleaning staff were polite and caring. Great experience from the ER to the floor. I was home and received many calls from the physicians and the nurses updating me or clarifying information. The neurologist, Dr. Tarulli, gave me such a warm and caring hug that I will never forget, when he told me my Dad’s terminal diagnosis. I don’t remember the name of the floor but it was the unit María is the nurse manager of and where Nurse Tiffanie and Khadija work. They were amazing! All the nurses and techs on the floor and the physicians were so kind and empathetic. The hospice team was amazing. 2025: Went here for a second opinion from Dr. John Halperin -- Neuroscience. He reviewed the previous results and performed some additional testing. Thus far we are impressed with his opinion. Will update after the test results are in and he renders his final opinion.
