Outer Banks Health Family Medicine - Manteo

I love Dr. Sumners at Outer Banks Health Family Medicine. She is thorough but warm hearted. She takes her time with you not like some doctors that rush you out the door and don’t listen to you. She loves what she does in the office and the community. I plan to keep seeing her until she retire.

My first visit in the new facility and with Dr. Wetzel was great! He had my records pulled up and was ready to discuss my previous health care and my future surgery date. I left feeling like I had selected the best person to take care of my health needs. We talked about my age and the need to have someone I could call on any day if needed. Very nice. Responded to my lab work quickly. Others were very nice too. Candy, his nurse was very helpful. Also Kelsey did my ekg and was very nice. Absolutely thankful for all those working at the Manteo Family Heath Center. I feel like I am in the right place with people who care about my health. Peggy Snead.

Dr. Baker seeks out the root of my problem and doesn't just treat the symptoms. She acknowledges info I know about my own body and combines that with her medical knowledge, to design a treatment plan. She gives me treatment choices ranging from non invasive to invasive. She is friendly, attentive, practical, and down to earth even in her brilliance. I'm thankful to be her patient. She's a blessing to the OBX.

Everyone is always polite and professional. Very punctual! But the biggest thing is I truly believe they want to help. My Doc actually listens, I mean really listens. He gives me advice from his obvious expertise and advice from the heart. Sounds corny but its much needed in today's world. Anyways...great team! 😄

I was very hesitant to visit, as all of my experience with urgent care facilities have been mediocre at best. This experience was outstanding. The entire staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional. Erica. The PA, was very knowledgeable and understanding. The Outer Banks is very fortunate to have this urgent care
