I normally don’t like to write reviews! But I have to express how Dr Duerden and his team has been nothing but amazing!!! From the first day I met Dr Duerden my fear of having my surgery was out the window I knew I would be in good hands and was!! So if you are in need of an ortho doctor just know you will be in good care with Dr Duerden and his wonderful team for sure!

If you are in the military or are a military spouse this may not be the place for us, due to the fact that you need to put in leave and they can't guarantee the appointments they enter for you during your first appointment. I was seen here on September 5th and was told by my Doctor that I was put on the schedule for October 1st. He said that I would get a call on Monday with all the details, because he was running behind schedule and I accepted that no problem. My issue is that no one called. I called them back the following Wednesday and Friday and then the next 3 weeks. I left messages to the care team and got no response after the 72 hours they ask you to wait for a response. Now 2 days before and still not a single call back or a message responding to what I sent on my chart. I drove

Just had an excellent experience here. Front desk check in was simple and easy. Intake nurse was friendly and thorough. Dr. O'Connor was informative, patient, detailed, and helped weigh all options during the visit before prescribing. His assisting physician was also very friendly, efficient, and helpful among with the nurse that fitted the braces that were prescribed. And finally, the check out front desk person, Deb, was super sweet, efficient, and relatable. The entire experience was stellar. Check this place out if you're ever in need. WAY better than other offices in the area treating the same ailments.

I am done with OrthoVirginia. Out of the blue, they scheduled me back to the Chesapeake location without contacting me first. I came on a Tuesday to schedule an appointment and had a scheduled date for the Virginia Beach location. I called today and the receptionist had no idea and said that the Chesapeake location was scheduled. This is unacceptable and obviously someone is playing games. I wanted to speak to an orthopedic, not a PA! It's not funny to upset patients who are in pain and this is bad practice. 0 stars deserved. It is very inconsiderate and unprofessional to change a patient's appointment without being notified. I can guarantee they will try anything to put the blame on the patient. Dr.Chen and the physical therapy department our amazing! The receptionist are always friendly and helpful and the physical therapy staff goes above and beyond to help you. Brittany Mitchel is exceptional at her task and always has a welcoming smile and demeanor during therapy, I will only go to ortho va from now on, the ladies up front are so friendly and always have a hello and a smile when I come in the front door! If more places concentrate on doing what ortho va does with their patients and making them feel comfortable, then you've succeeded, 5️⃣🌟!
