Orthopedic Associates of Hartford Urgent Care

It’s sad to see a business ran with such a lack of code of ethics. I’m self employed and do not currently have health insurance so we asked how much it would be for an X-ray and exam out of pocket and they said $250. We paid the $250 and after the fact they sent me another bill for an additional $355 for the exam which they said was $250, not $605. They also added $292 for a boot and $76 for some crutches because I have a sprained ankle. I expected the price gouging for the boot and crutches but did not anticipate them flat out lying about the cost of the visit. They also said for any follow ups visits I have to go elsewhere because they will not see uninsured people. They lack compassion and integrity in a field that’s supposed to help and heal people.

Took a little while to be seen. But the front desk ladies were super friendly and warm. Jason Pinho was my PA. He was thorough, very easy to talk to and made me feel heard. Great experience overall

Everything was great. They brought me in right away. Everyone was friendly, pleasant, and professional. They suggested x-rays and had them available to be taken immediately, but didn't pressure me at all when I said I preferred no x-rays. The doctor (maybe was a PA) was detailed and thorough, not at all rushed. Very comprehensive. She took a holistic approach in addition to (not instead of) traditional treatment. She got me a brace right away with no delay due to insurance. I had gone to a different orthopedic urgent care in Rocky Hill 2 to 3 years ago for a similar injury, and that place didn't even get me a brace. They (the other place) said they had to wait for insurance approval. They never got the approval. Here they got me the brace right away, and called in my prescriptions right a

This review is not about the practitioners or care. This review is about the fact that we were turned away at 7:45 pm when the clinic closes at 8 pm. I am a physical therapist in need of an X-ray to rule out fracture of my ankle after a bad fall a week ago and I am in town for a family reunion and leaving tomorrow. Please communicate what time you stop seeing patients on your platforms, as that is the time that impacts potential future patients being able to receive necessary care.

I have been to this urgent care three times and have had wonderful experiences every time. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. There was absolutely no wait I was in and out with my X-rays done in 26 minutes. The PA was kind and walked me through what he saw on my X-rays, he was personable and I didn’t feel rushed. This urgent care is out of network with my insurance however I will go to them every time and pay the extra fee.
