Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital

They did a good job it’s just the privacy and sleep was really aggravating my symptoms. The ER was good and rose the nurse on 6 th floor very caring and tried put in my requests for wound care and nutrition. The nutrition people communicate next meals and mostly chicken and salmon but my guest got pizza for $5 and they put pretty flowers on it! See photo below! Brad the tec was very kind and used gentle knocks and gave me a second to adjust or dress before busting in my door like most of them waking and knocking and abruptly coming in my room. I asked everyone for turkey sandwich, but it was like asking for a million dollars, so I was so hungry. I went to DPH on Jan 2nd of this year and I was just discharged yesterday on Jan 16th. Please follow along as I feel there is importantly information along my journey. On New Years Day, I fell at home in my tub and lost consciousness. My husband found me when he got home so we don’t have any idea how long I was out for. He woke me up and we had prior commitments with our families that I refused to go to the hospital right then and there. I did feel off and vomited but as long as I felt ok, I could just keep it moving. On Friday, I even went to work but made it a priority to call my neurologist and let them know what had happened (I have MS). I get a phone call from my neuro to RUSH to my nearest ER especially since I now had immense pain in my back and raging headache. I clocked out and we

Everyone at Orlando Health Dr. Philips Hospital was great. The staff, doctors, and nurses were amazing and very professional. The doctors and nurses kept me well informed as to what was happening with me. I especially want to mention Nurse Lauren by name. She is the short, blonde nurse that came into my room to check my lower legs for swelling. She is also the nurse that removed my IV when it was time for me to go home. I hope Nurse Lauren reads this. Nurse Lauren you're so awesome! You are so professional, kind, sweet, and very cute 😍. I wish we could have spent more time together, but it was time for me to leave. I went to the Dr. Phillips ER because they had a short wait time, and I was taken to the back fairly quickly. However, I was in complete shock at how dirty and unkept the rooms were. I expected much better from Orlando Health, especially at Dr. Phillips. The photos I’ve shared show both the ER room and the hospital room I was admitted to. While the facility’s cleanliness was disappointing, I do want to acknowledge that the healthcare staff were very kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. They checked on me regularly and kept me informed throughout my stay. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would return to Dr. Phillips Hospital not because of the staff, but because of the poor cleanliness and overall lack of hygiene throughout the facility

I am grateful for the treatment I received while at the hospital. The nurses and staff was very kind and attentive. My doctors were all excellent. Dr. Duggin was the doctor who did the surgery. He took his time to explain the surgical procedure. The Infectionist Disease doctors came daily and adjusted medicine when necessary. I am grateful for everyone. Thank you.
