Optum Urgent Care - Vineland

After waiting for 2 hours to be seen, I presented with rash covering my entire torso, severe cold (which all started at the same time), fever off and on. No flu or covid tests done. And no strep test done...if they would have checked my throat and done a strep test it would have save me almost a week of misery and realized I indeed had strep throat and the rash that goes with it. Instead they said I had a viral cold and a fungal infection, which is treated completely different.

My husband fell on our vacation and damaged his face. We went to Optum Care on Delsea Drive in Vineland, and he was well taken care of. Everhyone we interacted with there was professional. The person doing the intake was efficient and friendly. He was seen by PA Zachary Sakena who was very helpful in assuring us that the wounds did not look like they were infected and prescribing medication to help them heal. We were very pleased with the help we received.

Sat there yesterday for over a hour waiting to be seen to be told I couldn’t get medicine that I’m always given to help with my sickness. Just an antibiotic. That’s on the safe list for pregnancy. I do believe If I wasn’t expecting I would have been given the medicine.the doctor was kind just I believe his personal preference made his decision and not what was best for me. My illness is still getting worse still no voice coughing blood and more phlegm. But I’m off to my primary doctor. Also the staff are very kind and polite but the waiting room is freezing. Once you get into the back it’s much more warmer. A hour freezing while already sick to be turned away.

Everyone was really nice, no grouchy people. I don’t think I was even there for an hour. The doctor quickly examined me and prescribed medication then I was on my way. I will definitely visit next time I’m sick.

After several days of waiting for a return call I finally reached the district manager I think her name was Amora and while she was very professional she clearly did not have my best interest in mind. The conversation led me to believe that veterans are not welcome at Optimum Urgent Care in addition at the site of a veteran's card you will be immediately rejected. Too many of my fellow soldiers have lost limbs, suffer from ptsd, and lost their lives, to have people who have never served sitting behind us to look at us like we're second-class citizens and deny us care!
