Optum Pediatrics - Passaic

This is my first and last time I went to this location, I have been going to office on Broadway st but they closed that location so I chose to come here since the letter I received recommended to go there. I called call center early in the morning to make sure they will be open and operator said yes and asked me if I need appointment I said I will just walk in and wait so they said no problem. At first when I arrived I found parking at the back of the building but door were closed so just walked to the front, as I opened the doors there was no any information and directions as to where the office is located so I just took elevator to the 2 floor and I found it’s there. Worst place to take your child. The receptionist is very rude. Being an healthcare place, they are not compassionate at all. Today their main number for scheduling and re-scheduling is not working. I have tried all areas but it wont ring. Once it rang and got hold of someone, they can't hear me. The person said they are having problems with phone call and can't hear. Call later. I am trying to schedule appointment since 9 am this morning. Finally, I figured to go to Main Ave, Passaic location as it is close to me. I explained the receptionist about their problems with phone call and I need my son to be seen today, if they can take him. She said I know what you are saying but we don't take walk-ins. The younger receptionist should be fired on the spot. She is rude to the patients. She gives out medical advice over the phone without any medical background. She purposely creates bureaucratic havoc and prevents access to the doctors for pediatric patients. Her mean endeavor creates a toxic environment and is bringing the entire practice down. I have transferred out of the clinic due to her intolerable behavior as well as the larger acquisition by Optum which creates nothing but further delays when trying to talk to the doctors.

DO NOT GO HERE, THE RECEPTIONIST ACTUALLY LAUGHED IN A MOTHER’S FACE WHEN SHE TOLD HER WHAT INSURANCE SHE HAD WITH HER TWO YEAR OLD BABY IN HER HAND, THE MOTHER WAS SO SWEET AND POLITE AND CLEARLY DIDN’T KNOW THEY DIDN’T TAKE HER INSURANCE, the RECEPTIONIST LAUGHED IN HER FACE WHEN SHE SAID THE NAME AND SAID “we don’t take state insurance” DISGUSTING THAT PLACE IS. THE WAY THE STAFF CAN BELITTLE A MOTHER WITH A BABY IS APPALLING I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND NOT ONE PERSON GO THERE BECAUSE CLEARLY THEY HIRE CORNER GIRLS WITH NO EMPATY OR EVEN COMPASSION FOR MOTHERS WHO ARE JUST TRYING TO HAVE THEIR CHILDREN SEEN BY A DOCTOR. no professionalism in this office.

I went on because my son had fever all weekend and got an appointment but when I got there the receptionist did not welcome me and was extremely rude about me not having a mask on and gave me one with an attitude and told me “I have to bring my own next time” she didn’t have to give me an attitude if she’s busy on her phone.
