Optique Franklin

I had a very good visit this morning. It was my first visit since Vue Optique became Optique. A whole new staff was there. I enjoyed getting to know each one of them. They were very professional and very helpful. My eye exam went like clockwork. I chose new frames with the help of everyone’s fashion expertise. I will be getting those in about a week or so. All in all, excellent experience. I definitely will be going back.

I’ve had lifelong terrible experiences getting eye exams — doctors rushing through appointments, ending up with the wrong prescription, and feeling uncomfortable or uncertain during the whole process. Even picking out frames never felt easy or secure. I shared those concerns, and Dr. Michele Sonsino and the staff at Optique Franklin truly put my needs and care in focus (pun intended). The exam was thorough, thoughtful, and I never once felt rushed. They actually listened. On top of that, previous places had very limited designer frame options and even discouraged the 20% tint I wanted. Not here. Poor Customer Service - Never Made it to the Doctor. I used the link "Schedule An Appointment Online" from their website on Tuesday around 10 AM to "book" an appointment for an available timeslot on that Friday at 4:15 PM. There were other days and timeslots filled so this looked like a legitimate booking system. We use online booking systems routinely for other doctor's offices--some that allow us to book directly and others that are "appointment request" services. This appointment was for my daughter who was traveling in from her college out of town. Friday morning my daughter received a voice message from Optique that the online system is only an appointment request and that they do not schedule appointments after 3 PM on Fridays--no apology for the late notice or disconnect between
