Optimal Kids Pediatric Dental Medicine

Look, I really don't want to make it harder for me to get in an appointments with Dr. Elmore for my kids but I'm not going to gatekeep...because EVERYONE should be coming here. I came to Dr. Elmore with my 7 year old who has PTSD from another pediatric dental office because I noticed a chip in one of her molars. Previously I had been taking them a holistic dentist every 6 months for over 4 years and was told "everything looked good" every visit...well unfortunately teethe were not looking good despite good diets, brushing, cleanings etc! Dr. Elmore is a breath of fresh air, she’s exactly what the NC Triangle has been in desperate need of in dentistry. Not only extremely knowledgeable and detailed but honest and not money hungry. All of those qualities are tough to find in one dentist in the area, especially one who is holistic and offers non-toxic services. I reached out to Dr. Elmore looking for a second opinion for my son who has an MTHFR gene mutation and is a mouth breather, I’m so thankful I did. I was feeling stressed and desperate for help and she came through like an answered prayer!

I can’t recommend Dr Elmore and her outstanding team enough. We found ourselves in an unexpected need of extensive dental work for our daughter. Dr Elmore created a proactive, individual plan that put us at ease that she would get the best care possible. On the day of the 1.5 hour appointment our daughter calmly sat in the chair and enjoyed her time with Dr Elmore without laughing gas. Both assistants were outstanding in making sure she was relaxed and her mind was off of the work being done from the second we walked in their door. We drive 2 hours to see Dr. Elmore and it is absolutely worth it. If you are on the fence because of the drive or it being out of network with your insurance, go for it anyway. After a rough experience with my 4 year old being uncooperative with our previous dentist we decided to get her fillings done with Dr. Elmore before trying sedation dentistry. We were able to get multiple cavities filled with zero struggle or tears. Her experience in working with children really shines through during the filling process and the quality of materials they use here makes a difference. My daughter cried when we had her mouth numbed at our last dentist but here she didn’t even bat an eye and smiled through the whole process!

Dr. Elmore and Judy were absolutely amazing with both my boys. They were patient, fun and calm. Dr. Elmore took the time to explain the processes to both me and the boys so we are were on the same page. I was hesitant to use an out of network provider, but she made it as easy as possible! She submitted all claims on our behalf and was transparent about all costs. I honestly can’t imagine ever going anywhere else! I wish she could also be my dentist.
