I had an appointment today with Dr. Maresca Curley. I do not recommend her at all. The whole interaction with her felt extremely confrontational, and any time I asked a simple question asking her to explain the procedures she was doing, she 1) wouldn’t give me a clear answer despite me asking her two or three times, and 2) was very condescending with her responses. She also had me redo the first exam multiple times in each eye (the exam where they flash your eyes with a strong green light to get a picture) because she didn’t know how I should be sitting to work her own machine. Rest of the staff was great. Patient, accommodating, kind, and actually knowledgeable. Came in to get a prescription lens. First set of folks were nice. Had to go back and get my insurance to unblock a prior quote. When I came back, second set of agents I met were extremly rude. Very unwelcomed. Would not recommend. Edit: To clarify, the negative review is NOT because of the insurance issue (that's some insurance glitch that was easily solved and not Optical's fault) OR the fact they couldn't help. I had previously installed third-party lens (from a reputable company called Apex Lens) that made it so Optical Image was not willing to work on the frames. Totally understandable.
