To be fair, there are some really AMAZING people at Optalis. MORE ON THEM BELOW.. BUT there was one particular employee who was clearly an awful person. She left residents in their own waste, left my dad without a blanket several times, soaked briefs, never clean. Walked in one day and he had an entire cup of soup dried all over his shirt. Complaints fell on deaf ears, his last week there the entire management staff left. Her name is Shannon, she is an aid or a CENA but should get out of healthcare. . I do not understand how she has a job. She is there for the paycheck, not to care for the vulnerable. SHE is the reason we transferred my dad out of there. If you see her, keep a close eye on your loved one, you'll know who she is, she starts buzzing around when she knows she isn't treating

My mother was here for rehab for a short period and graduated from therapy. The therapy department is wonderful and we loved her nurse that was consistently present, attentive and so sweet and caring, Lexy. My mother adored her! She wasn’t keen on the food but overall a great place for your loved one to get strong enough to go home.

I can't say enough about Charity Morgan, the Director of Nursing at Optalis. She is the heart and soul of this facility, treating every resident with deep compassion and unwavering commitment. Her leadership is exceptional—she creates a warm, supportive environment for both staff and residents, making sure everyone receives the best care possible. Charity isn’t just great at her job; she’s *perfect* for it. Her positive attitude, genuine kindness, and depth of experience make a world of difference. She leads with strength, grace, and an undeniable passion for nursing. And now, she’s taking her expertise even further by pursuing her master's degree to become a nurse practitioner! A welcoming, at home atmosphere, with smiling faces and positive vibes all throughout. Dedicated staff members, especially their DON, they go above and beyond for their patients and residents. The meals from their kitchen look so good! Great portions & great options for residents. Don't even get me started about how amazing the nursing staff is, talk about caring and friendly. All in all, Optalis is wonderful..

We had the unfortunate decision to place our mom into a nursing facility early this year. Optalis was recommended by a number of friends who had chosen Optalis for the care of theirs. From our first meeting with Miss Heather, admissions director,we felt so comfortable our mom was in good care. The compassion and professionalism of the staff was exceptional.We can't thank Julie enough for all her work and knowledge in transitioning mom to the Medicaid system.
