Omar Ortiz-Alvarado, MD-Springs Urology

A few months ago, I went to see the urologist Dr. Omar Ortiz and requested an ultrasound of my kidneys. When I went for my follow-up appointment, he talked to me about my prostate instead of my kidneys; obviously, someone made a mistake. On October 1st, 2026, I had a prostate ultrasound, and the woman at the front desk told me she would call me later because the system was slow. To this day, December 14th, I still haven't been contacted with the results. I do not recommend this place or this doctor for any treatment. They are unprofessional and only seem to care about sending bills to the insurance company.

As a medical professional myself, I find it extremely unprofessional and unacceptable to make patients wait over two hours without any communication or update. If a provider is running that far behind, staff should have the courtesy and professionalism to inform patients and offer the option to reschedule. Instead, patients are left waiting with no regard for their time. Time is something we cannot get back, and wasting it in this manner shows a complete lack of respect and professionalism.

Dr. Ortiz is compassionate, caring and professional, he has a wonderful staff he gave me the best options when I had prostate cancer I am so grateful with him.

Dr. Omar Ortiz saw my husband, A. Pineiro, last January 2025, in the emergency at B.H.Coral Springs. He was in really bad shape but with treatment and a couple of weeks later Dr. Ortiz was able to performed on my husband two surgeries in the same hospital and under his good care everything went well. Dr. Ortiz is a very kind person, with lots of patience, very professional and knowledgeable. My husband says that Dr. Ortiz was an angel sent from heaven to take care of him. As of today my husband feels better than ever. I highly recommend Dr. Ortiz to everybody.

This was my first visit and the Dr was wonderful. He asked questions and got to know my history. He was informative, friendly, and understanding. I'm really glad I switched Doctors.
