OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital and Emergency Department

Went into the emergency room on a Sunday. Dr. Kashk went above and beyond to help my wife Emma. His 30+ years of experience shone through and allowed us to understand and treat the root cause of her pain. Whereas some physicians are quick to diagnose or dismiss an issue, Dr Kashk systematically went through each possibility until we arrived at the best answer. The nurses were excellent too—they even gave my daughter a new toy to play with as we were leaving. The best experience I have had at a hospital in years. Thank you!

Don’t use this hospital for anything. They will mess up billing (at least you can call Ohio Health’s main billing and fix the issue there), their lab in an “interesting” experience, asking if you are giving your “legal name,” then question you if your ID is legit - I realize this is due to their regular clientele, but if they can’t tell a legal ID from a fake, and you’re just there for regular lab work, just avoid this hospital like the plague. Drive to Columbus. It’s not worth experiencing the “local flavor.”

STEER CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES!!!! ohhhh I have a bone to pick with this place!!!! My grandma was admitted Thursday, after two falls resulting in bet hitting her head. She was a week post hysterectomy. Surprisingly, they did do a CT Scan of her head but not her abdomen. My mom tried. They said no. Her CT for head was normal (thanks the lord) and they said shes just severely dehydrated... boy were we in for it Friday morning around 3 am, she vomits blood and has it in her stool. They wait UNTIL 7 IN THE FLIPPING MORNING TO EVEN CALL ANYONE OH MY GOD. They then state that they are going to life flight her to riverside after FINALLY DOING A CT SCAN OF HER ABDOMEN AND SEEING ACTIVE BLEEDING. We'll that never freaking happened. They gave her two pints of blood a

Grandson went in puking blood, Grandson left on life support and life flighted to Nationwide Children's. Protect your children from security guard. Very bad situation and all could of been prevented by letting me back there with him. Nationwide heading up major investigation on security guard who left strangle marks on his neck holding him down. Very nightmarish and absolutely avoidable. They failed my grandson very very bad. Security guard has no business having his hands on my child and being nothing more then a bully.

As someone with a phobia of medical facilities, I'm honestly very impressed with how well my ER visit went... Due to what had happened with me, I was in treatment for 10 hours or so. (My personal nightmare) The staff were incredibly attentive, listened extremely well when I told them how I was feeling (physically and mentally), and accommodated me accordingly. VERY respectful of me as an individual, let alone as a patient. ERs are notorious for being overworked and ending up with staff that don't have the best bedside manner as a result... Not the case when I went here. My experience with every single staff member involved was incredible. Considering how many staff members I wound up meeting, the fact that ALL of them were so sweet AND efficient is genuinely amazing to me.
