Ohio State Advanced Urgent Care East Hospital

!DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU WANT AN OVERPRICED BILL! My husband was visiting the area for a work training and got sick while he was there. He found the nearest "urgent care" that was open - which was OH State Urgent Care on 181 Taylor Rd. He had a pleasant experience while there - as it was a quick visit - however, this also meant the provider spent little time with him. My husband informed the provider that he had a positive Covid test; the provider did not confirm or do any tests of his own, and just wrote a prescription for cough syrup and gave tylenol. Months later we are still battling these bills as they were billed to insurance as hospital visits and not as an urgent care like the outside of the building says! Dr. Niktash was fantastic! He had great bedside manner and was very meticulous in caring for and stitching my leg. Very attentive and answered all of our questions.

I appreciate that it was easy and fast to be seen, however, the nurse and doctor I saw didn't listen to the symptoms I was describing and listed something entirely different. Then, when I told them what I was experiencing they said, "I bet it's COVID." We did the swab, and ten minutes later they said, "yep, it's COVID." However, the test results in MyChart show that the test was clearly negative, which I confirmed by sending a message to my care team. So now I'm no better off for having made the trip, paying the copay, and getting the swab.

It was strange that no one was at the front desk upon the arrival for many people at 6pm. Please make sure to have proper coverage for lunch/ dinner breaks. Other than that Dr Borchers and the clinical staff was very attentive with my care, and addressed all my concerns. I was also pleased that the RN thanked me for allowing her to care for me.
