OHI Brick Health Center - (Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc.)

The clinical side of OHI is fine. Most problems I’ve encountered have been with poor communication with phone calls and portal messaging, rude or no responses. It seems like they’re trying to sort out staffing issues. I’d like to give a higher rating, but, not yet.

Ocean health initiatives used to be good before, But now! there is unprofessional people working for them, for them to speak English or typing English is always problem, they believe we all Spanish, the most important thing, when you make appointment they we canceled without No Let you know, they always made excuses that there is No nurse, l trying to make appointment for the last three yrs now, for OBGY ( neoplasm of cervix) when never l made this appointment they canceled the appointment without No Let me aware, they are unprofessional people working for them now . Both toms river and Brick, They we call you on phone speak Spanish, to you! just to speak English that people understand No way, this is ridiculous. I made appointment since 1st week of August for (screening cervix) w

No one to answer the phone ever, have to wait for appointments, slow as molasses. When you see a whole host of other reviews saying, “Haven’t had a bad experience!” Beware. If it’s a great place there would never be a be a reason to say that.

I always go to this health clinic and I never had any bad experience. Except last October I had a pap smear with Ms. Alyssa Laboy PA and it was really bad, I was in pain while she was doing it. She asked me if I want to stop the procedure. But since I already in the middle of it, I told her to just continue. So, I endured the pain. I had some blood when I got home but it's not that bad. I figure it will get better the next day.I had a flight to go to Las Vegas the next day. When I got there I was in more pain and I start having more blood and some blood is curdled. The pain is so bad when I pee especially towards the end. I had to stop the process of peeing because it's too painful. I actually afraid to pee. But the urgency to pee is more frequent.
