Ochsner LSU Health - Monroe Medical Center Emergency Room

Highly Recommend. They are attentive and have made leaps and bounds in staff training, this is considered one of the best "Trauma" locations in NELA, I was taken good care of when I had my vehicle accident in Early 2025.

My mother recently broke her hip and was transferred to Oschner LSU in Monroe. She had superior care from the workers who brought her meals, to the nurses, PAs, aides, internal medicine, surgeon, social worker…excellent care!

I spent 2 days in the er waiting for a bed in the ICU to open up. While in there I had to share a room with a person who was very contagious with pneumonia and MRSA. I already have a very compromised immune system so the risk of me catching anything was already extremely high. My paperwork said I was supposed to be in non contact isolation yet I was I the same room with a highly contagious person.

As a walk-in patient referred by VA-Monroe, January 2025, I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism, respect, and care provided by everyone with whom I came in contact, from the beginning to the end of my visit. The entire staff deserves a high-five (stars). I'm still pleased to be spreading the praises. My second trip to retrieve patient records a few days later was just as memorable, especially noted fare the records lady and the disk record department personnel. Thank you, all!

Imagine trying to be transferred to the emergency room and it's something very important, and sitting there for 30 minutes with your phone ringing just to have someone hang up on you. I'm ashamed that my child was born at this hospital, for future reference cuz I'm probably going to go to St Francis. This hospital wrongfully placed a loved one of mine into the mental ward after tricking them into coming to the hospital, then tried to get a non-family member to sign for them to receive treatment/sedatives. This hospital has a dark side, and I intend to tell the whole story eventually.
