Today I had my dental appointment with Catherine Cruz! It was an absolute surprise to see her & I was overjoyed. I told her I asked the front desk where she was & they told me they didn’t know. Catherine Cruz is a beautiful soul who takes time to get to know her patients. She has empathy for her patients conditions, she knows how to treat them & she provides education. I expressed how I located Dr Angum & I kept thinking if I should stay at this office as I was not happy with the last service done by another worker. It’s truly hard to find good professionals who care about the patient care and knows what the patient need. I wish other offices can clone Ms Cruz because she is an excellent professional who encourages patients to return to dental office. I look forward to my next visit beca

I went to OBT Dental to fill 4 cavities. The hygienist started with the numbing and then the Dentist came and administer the numbing meds. She was piercing on my jaw like an animal with that needle not caring of how painful it was. I did many fillings and the doctor would gently and slowly administer the medicine, but not this woman. The doctor came and check on the numbness and started to do the drilling and I can tell you this woman was drilling in my mouth like she was drilling for oil. She was not slow and gentle like other doctors do, she was steady with no stopping and drilling down to my root and touching a nerve, I almost jumped out of the chair and felt a sharp piercing at the side of my lip. After waiting an entire month for the appointment, I arrived with my 3- and 6-year-old children expecting a normal consultation. Upon check-in, I was asked to complete the paperwork and read a consent form before signing. To my surprise, the form stated that parents are not allowed to accompany their children into the consultation room. I found this policy extremely unreasonable and concerning. There is no valid explanation for why parents should not be present during a medical visit, especially when it involves very young children. As parents, it is both our right and our responsibility to be by our children’s side, to support them, and to understand exactly what is happening during their care. I had a dental appointment with my daughters and the experience was excellent from start to finish. María Fernanda Espinosa, the assistant, was super kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the visit. Dr. Suárez, the pediatric dentist, took the time to explain everything with great patience and detail, offering me the best options for my daughters’ care.
